Empowering Professional Growth Through Education
Friends of New York State School Librarians is proud to offer an exclusive grant opportunity for current members of FoNYSSL, designed to support your continued professional development and academic pursuits.
🎓 About the Grant:
The FoNYSSL Professional Development Grant seeks to award up to $200 to an eligible member of the Friends of New York State School Librarians who demonstrates a commitment to advancing their career through education, training, or online certifications.
This grant can be used for reimbursement of expenses such as registration, room and board, travel, meals, and other costs related to participating in professional development. Reimbursement shall not exceed $200. *See below about reimbursements.
The recipient of this grant agrees to post to the social media platform of their choice at the professional development and tag FoNYSSL in the post(s).
🧑💼 Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered, applicants must:
✔ Be a member of Friends of NYS School Librarians.
✔ Be enrolled or planning to enroll in a professional development opportunity or course.
✔ Have professional goals which are aligned with the mission of FoNYSSL.

*In order to meet our IRS 501(c)(3) requirements, we will reimburse expenses up to $200 which support a professional development opportunity. The recipient of this grant will be notified and be given reimbursement instructions.
