Empowering Librarian Outreach Through Programming

The Friends of New York State School Librarians is proud to offer an exclusive grant opportunity for current members of FONYSSL, designed to support your innovative programming idea.

🎓 About the Grant
The FONYSSL Programming Grant seeks to award up to $250 to an eligible member of the Friends of New York State School Librarians who demonstrates a commitment to advancing the outreach of their library through programming which targets students, colleagues or the community. 

This grant can be used to reimburse any expense related to programming development or implementation.  Reimbursement shall not exceed $250.  *See below about reimbursements.

The recipient of this grant agrees to send a written narrative and photos detailing the program which FoNYSSL can post to our social media platforms. If the winner uses a social media platform, they agree to tag FoNYSSL in any post(s) relating to the project. In addition, any publicity of the program should include a small tag line which reads “This project funded, in part, by the Friends of NYS School LIbrarians (FONYSSL).”

To be considered, applicants must:
✔ Be a member of Friends of NYS School Librarians. Link to join.
✔ Submit a complete application form.
✔ Agree to the terms outlined above.

*In order to meet our IRS 501(c)(3) requirements, we will reimburse expenses up to $250 which support programming originating from the school library and led by the school librarian. The recipient of this grant will be notified and be given reimbursement instructions.
